Mr. Eazi, Rudimental, Major Lazer New Video Tops Kenyan Charts After Hours Of Release

UK drum and base band Rudimental and US electronic dance trio Major Lazer have released a vibrant video for ‘Let Me Live' featuring Anne-Marie and Nigerian singer Mr Eazi.
Pantsulas show off their fast-paced dancing in Let Me Live.

The video was shot in Johannesburg and London under the direction of South African filmmaker Chris Saunders. It was produced by Allison Swank who also produced the video for Major Lazer’s ‘Particula’ featuring Nasty C, Jidenna, Ice Prince and Patoranking.
The Johannesburg scenes were shot under a bridge in the city centre and stars pantsula dancers whose rapid feet movements and colourful clothing capture the tempo and mood of the song. The pantsula dance emerged in the 1950s in the Johannesburg townships Alexandra and Sophiatown. The first pantsula dancers were perceived as criminals but that changed in the 1990s when young South Africans adopted the dance.
The video also shows South Africa's spinning culture, and does so with the use of the only car that can burn rubber properly, the BMW 325i. In London, ‘Let me Live’ was shot at Ridley Road Market in Dalston.
The the song is about living a good life and its video does a great job in its portrayal of South African and British culture.
