XXXTentacion's girlfriend delivers baby boy seven months after his brutal murder

XXXTentacion’s girlfriend has welcomed his baby seven months after he was murdered in a terrifying daytime shooting.

Jenesis Sanchez has given birth to a son, and given him the name the rapper had chosen for him before he was gunned down.

Their little boy is called Gekyume Onfroy.

The birth was confirmed in a press statement, which read: "We're happy to confirm that baby and mother are healthy.

"Gekyume's name is derived from a word X created prior to his passing, which means 'a different state' or 'next' universe of thought.

"XXXTentacion specifically chose this name for his first born son; his family is honoured to fulfil his wish and shower baby Gekyume with love."

The news was also shared on the late rapper's official Instagram page by a member of his team.

The story post featured a baby emoji alongside the caption: "Yume has officially arrived".

X, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was shot and killed on June 18 in Broward County, Florida.

He was 20 years old.

It was announced shortly after his death that he had been expecting his first child with Jenesis.

Four men have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm and armed robbery with a firearm.

It's also been reported that X signed a $10 million (Sh1 billion) record deal before this tragic death.

The New York Times reported that rap star had been in contact with Empire, the independent music company that had released his first album, 17.

A music video X filmed before his death was released posthumously.

The macabre video for SAD! saw him attend his own funeral and have a fist fight with his dead body.

After his tragic death, many fans believed he'd predicted his own demise, sharing footage of him talking about how he'd want to be remembered if he ever died young.
