Brookside apologises as numerous milk packets found to be filled with water

Kenya’s leading dairy producer, Brookside Dairy, on Monday morning apologized after a customer complained that he had bought a carton full of fresh milk only to find all the packets filled with water.

The complaint was made by marketer Blak Aende on Twitter, prompting an immediate response from Brookside.

The Kenyatta family owned dairy also requested for more details from the customer in order to get more information on the embarrassing incident.

“Hi @blakaende2 , we deeply apologize for this experience and we would like to investigate how this happened. Kindly DM us where you bought the carton of Dairy Best, the date of purchase, your location and contact details (i.e your name, phone number & email address),” the company said in a tweet.

The video of the compromised long life milk prompted other Twitter users to share their experience with various fast moving goods in the country.

Kevin Wambugu said he had alerted Brookside after purchasing smelly and sticky fresh milk after which the dairy promised to follow up with their quality assurance team.

Wambugu complained that five months since the complaint, he had not received an explanation.
