Clash of the titans? Zari lands in Uganda a day after Diamond’s show

Fans of South Africa based entrepreneur Zari Hassan and Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz are torn in half.

This is over the presence of the two estranged lovers in Kampala albeit for different engagements.

According to Ugandan media, Diamond Platnumz jetted into the country on Wednesday, July 24, to a frenzied reception ahead of his Thursday appearance at Uganda Manufacturers Association.

“Imagine yani hio ilikuwa saa kumi nambili jioni halaf foleni lake la watu kuingia ukumbini lilikuwa hivyo...Yani kama maandamano vile. Thank you so much Uganda and I love you more, I am on my way to the venue now,” shared the singer alongside a video of hundreds jostling for space to gain entry.

An after-party was later held at the Nomad Bar and Grill, Uganda.

On the other hand, Zari is today, 25 July, expected to grace the Miss Uganda 2019 competition at the Sheraton, five kilometres from Diamond Platnumz’s last location.

According to MBU, Zari landed at the Entebbe International Airport at around 2:40 pm and will be a judge during the annual national beauty pageant.

A role she also gracefully held to the adoration of many in 2018 having taken up modelling herself during her yester years.

“I'm super excited to be coming home as a Judge for the Miss Uganda 2019 grand finale taking place this Friday, July 26, at the Kampala Sheraton

Quiin Abenakyo, the reigning beauty, was crowned Miss Uganda in August 2018, and shot rose to the world stage that same year after she won the continental crown in the Miss World 2018 contest.

In 2019, Abenakyo became the first Miss Uganda to make it to the top five finalists in the Miss World contest.
