PHOTOS: Inside private jet Boniface Mwangi flew in to global event

Award-winning Kenyan human rights activist Boniface Mwangi is in the United States of America.

Mwangi was on July 22 among three evening keynote speakers at the 75th anniversary of the Bretton Woods Conference in New Hampshire.

According to Mwangi, he was flown in a private jet to the annual event that, according to organisers, “presented an opportunity for the reimagining of global economic governance.”

“Honoured to be one of the three evening keynote speakers at @brettonwoods75. Tonight's keynote speaker is Larry Summers & the second-night keynote will be delivered by Riane Eisler - an 88-year-old force of nature & Holocaust survivor. I speak on the last night, on Wednesday,” he posted.

Mesmerised by the experience, the writer noted that the greatest take away from it was authenticity.

“I was flown on a private jet to deliver a speech and was like wow! I gotta have a meeting with my team and say, standards have been set, let’s double my speaking fee. On a serious note, be authentic, stay true to yourself! Dare to be different.”

According to The World Bank, representatives from 44 nations met at Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, with an aim of “establishing a system of international cooperation that would help countries recover from the devastation wrought by the Second World War while facilitating long-term global economic growth for recovering and developing nations alike.”

The Bretton Woods conference created the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) following World War II devastation.

On Friday, July 26, Mwangi, while at Times Square, Midtown Manhattan, New York, joined the craze sweeping Kenya with courtesy of youthful group Sailors.

“Niko raundi Times Square, sijui nianze ku-shout Wamlambez,” he tweeted.
